“Anyone looking for the holy land might best begin with the earth that sustains us.” ― Rev. John A. Buehrens [American Unitarian Universalist Minister]

Advocacy. Action. Education.

The UUOCC Social & Environmental Justice Committee has prioritized supporting legislation to protect the environment. Whether global, national, state or local, we realize our efforts can pay dividends for all.

Our action initiatives include working with organizations like Save Barnegat Bay and joining the UUA’s Green Santuary 2030 with the goal of accreditation in the program. We strive to keep our congregation well educated on legislation and our congregational and personal best practices.
