"I do not teach a unified theology, you bring your theology with you when you come in the door" - Rev. Julie

Julie was ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister in Lincroft, New Jersey by three UU congregations more than two decades ago. In addition to serving congregations in New Jersey and New York as well as the Auckland Unitarian Church in New Zealand, Julie has been a visiting minister at more than 20 other UU congregations and fellowships. Prior to receiving her Master of Divinity degree (summa cum laude) from Drew Theological School, she attended, graduated from, and was ordained as an Interfaith minister by The New Seminary at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York in 1998.

Over the years, Julie has also been a hospital chaplain, as well as an independent chaplain and officiant at services to celebrate major life transitions for multifaith and unchurched families, as well as residents of assisted living facilities. She also practiced community ministry at Brookdale Community College where she taught world religions and a variety of writing courses. On a more personal note, she is an avid film goer, loves Asian food, visiting friends near and far, and watching the moon go by. She has lived in three other countries and is fluent in Dutch.

Unless otherwise noted Rev. Julie preaches and leads worship at UUOCC on the second and fourth Sundays of each month from September through June.
